Educated in accounting as well as law, Michael excels at providing counsel regarding business formation, financing alternatives, mergers and acquisitions, tax strategies and succession planning, as well as helping his clients find creative solutions to a variety of business issues. Michael also serves as counsel to many area banks in connection with commercial asset and real estate lending transactions.

Born in Springfield in 1964, Michael is a resident of Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He graduated from the University Of Massachusetts School Of Management with a B.B.A., cum laude, in accounting in 1986. He worked as a certified public accountant at Coopers and Lybrand, then enrolled at New York University School of Law, which awarded him a J.D. in 1991.

He frequently lectures and publishes articles regarding closely held businesses, including organization and financing matters, acquisitions, tax issues and succession planning. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Business Law Section.

Michael is active with many non-profit and community organizations, including Jewish Geriatric Services, Inc. and Temple Beth El.

Bruce Devlin has had the invaluable experience of working in both the legal and accounting professions. Bruce began his professional career at Coopers & Lybrand, LLP in Boston where he specialized in state and local tax consulting for approximately four years from 1996 - 2000. Bruce later returned to Springfield and worked at the law firm of Robinson Donovan, P.C. from early 2000 through 2006. Bruce has effectively incorporated his tax background into his legal expertise focusing on wills, trusts and other aspects of estate planning probate, estate administration, business, taxation and elder law. Bruce is one of the few lawyers in Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut who holds a legal masters degree in taxation, which he earned following his graduation from law school.


Bruce was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1970 and now resides in Somers, Connecticut. He graduated with a B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Connecticut in 1992 and received a J.D. from the University of San Francisco in 1995. Bruce also earned an L.L.M. in taxation, graduating summa cum laude from Golden Gate University in 1996. Bruce is licensed to practice law in both Massachusetts and Connecticut.


Bruce serves on the Board of Directors of The Estate Planning Council of Hampden County, Inc., and is a former member of the Board of Directors of The Loomis Communities (now serving as a Corporator). Bruce is active in various civic organizations, including serving on the Board of Directors of the Western Massachusetts Division of the March of Dimes and coaching youth soccer in Somers, Connecticut.

Bruce was voted a 2005 and 2006 Massachusetts "Rising Star" top attorney under the age of 40.
